Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh will star as Aung San Suu Kyi in a film biography of the Burmese Nobel Prize winner. Hong Kong-based Yeoh spent a day with Suu Kyi discussing the film during a visit to Rangoon in early December. The following day they were seen together at Rangoon International Airport as Yeoh waited to board her plane. Suu Kyi’s son, Kim Aris, was also with them at the airport, waiting to catch his plane home after visiting his mother. Yeoh, 48, starred in the James Bond movie “Tomorrow Never Dies” and in the acclaimed “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” The Suu Kyi film, which is in the early stages of production in Bangkok, has the provisional title “Divided Heart.”
