The Burmese team took home 10 medals—two of them gold—from the 16th Asian Games in China’s southern city of Guangzhou.The two gold medals were won in the sepak takraw men’s team and women’s doubles events. Five silver medals and three bronze completed the Burmese haul, which put the country in 22nd place in the medals tally. Burma competed in 11 events—billiards, snooker, weightlifting, swimming, shooting, volleyball, dragon boat sailing, archery, track and field, sepak takraw and wushu martial arts.
