Independent Journalism Training and Career Opportunity for People from Burma
The Irrawaddy Publishing Group is again organizing a course in basic news reporting and writing. The best students may receive jobs as reporters at The Irrawaddy, an English-language news magazine that is not connected with any political or other groups.
The course will be held in Chiang Mai in early 2006, and will last 2-3 weeks. The exact dates will be announced later. All expenses will be paid.
The course is only for people who have a very serious interest in independent journalism and want to work hard to pursue a career in journalism. Good Burmese and English language ability is also required.
