Although my land was also confiscated, I have not suffered as much hardship as some others because my family has other businesses. However, I couldn't stand hearing farmers crying every day and seeing their despair and their tears. That's why I became involved in the lawsuit.

Q: When did you send your complaint to the ILO?

A: It was in May. We still haven't heard anything though.

Q: What do you want to say publicly to the authorities about this case?

A: We are not sure if the authorities have turned a blind eye or are just pretending that they don't know anything about the land confiscation. We have repeatedly informed them about our plight but they haven't done anything. It is as if the State and the Yuzana Company are one and the same.

I want those pro-boycotters to look at this woman and say she is not doing something good for our people and our country with a straight face just like the generals are saying in a straight face that the country is progressing under them.

I respect the rights of those who do not want to vote but do they know, especially those actively campaigning and risking their lives and liberty needlessly, that they are playing into the hands of the generals and exploiters from outside?

Boycotters are free not to join in the fight but do not belittle or obstruct those who want to fight in this way. You are free to fight, die or go to jail in your own way and we will not obstruct you. But do not obstruct those who want to fight the injustice on their own way. Especially without being jailed or killed unnecessarily. We are losing too many good people and I don't want to lose anymore of them regardless of whether they are pro or against election as long as they are against the present system.

Hi, Than Shwe,
She is doing the right thing. Please step in and get justice done. You may get credit from it but it's a justice.

Of course they are the sides of the same coin.
Plainly speaking it is simply LAND GRABBING, to say the least.
These things have been ongoing since day one of Than Shwe's rule, if I remember right.
Watch out if Bauk Ja goes too far.
She would be a martyr soon at this rate and pace.
Than Shwe offers only the GUN or MONEY for your rights and integrity.
Looks like Bauk Ja is opting for the gun.
Since day one of Than Shwe's rule people have no basic rights, much less own property, and even their lives are in his hands, except the rule of law which he has thrown away ages ago.
Justice is alien to him, as law and order is non-existent in the country he runs today.
And Bauk Ja running for a seat in Than Shwe's parliament at Naypyidaw is as INSANE as a LUNATIC and most disastrously also under the banner of the NDF renegades.
Of course simple folks like Bauk Ja are simply DUPED by foxes like Khin Maung Swe and I pity the woman though for her future.
