Q: You once said that the military was 'systematically withdrawing from politics.' Do you think your judgment was wrong based on current developments?
A: No. Since they have decided to hold an election, the military is withdrawing. Everything depends upon the people and the political parties that are truly working for the people. Even if the military has a 25 percent privilege, the political parties must still try hard. If the people really support us, we will gain the remaining 75 percent of the parliaments. It is all up to us—if we advance, they must withdraw, and vice-versa.

the news like this simply helps improve the legitimacy issue of the fake election. The democratic party and others who decide to part with this election are playing in the hands of Than Shwe. He has carefully set up the traps like this one to appease international criticism. Your votes of 100% will be changed into the Junta`s favor. The Junta has built government offices for the USDP with residences ready made for a tailor-made government in confidence about their victory. There will be no such thing like Saw Maung`s defeat of 1991.Than Shwe is a tactical manipulator. Why is Mr Thu Wai still dreaming and helping improve the legality of Than Shwe, the murderer.

Boycott the election! Join Daw Suu!

U Thuwei was AFPFL-Stable U Kyaw Nyein's personal assistant. Kyaw Nyein made the costliest mistake of his life: misjudging the generals' motives and design, thinking that Ne Win was his friend and the military would never strike against their 'friends' and 'allies' in Kyaw Nyein-led Socialist party/AFPFL-Stable. eventually, Ne Win turned against Kyaw Nyein and ordered bespectacled Tin Oo to torture him in jail, for which Kyaw Nyein attempted a failed suicide. Now decades later, Kyaw Nyein's former assistant Thuwei, is making a grave misjudgment talking something as baseless as 'the military systematically withdrawing from politics'. Blinded by the glory of being in governing circles, these men's words and views are warped and delusional. They are part of the problem of our country. Like 'civil society', elections are a double or triple-edged sword. Has he learned anything about the Tatmadaw leaders despite decades of living under and working against the dictatorship? Sad.

We wish you luck. But you must work with USDP AND all other parties in coliation if there is no outright majority. Tatmataw can stage a coup anytime - if you prostitute the state of Burma.

Show respect to Tatmataw (Royal Army) and explain to people why and how it was abused by Fargaung ShuMaung and how it saved Burma. You may find it difficult to believe it but when the state is grave danger, then the army is the only legitimate state; look what happened in African countires where there was no overarching military to stop genocide by various factions.

Don't look up to low life Burmese in exile; they are behind time. They, like abused children, need rehabilitation; they have lost self respect as a result of BSPP era. They cannot see straight.
