Chinese Drug Busts Shed Light on Burma's Burgeoning Trade

“What is really needed for the people of Shan is a permanent end to all conflict through the acquisition of a lasting peace.” 

“The path to achieving this peace is lined with poppies,” he added.

According to an unpublished 2007 study commissioned by the US Department of Justice, 78 percent of drug traffickers detained for smuggling in Yunnan were born in China, while 21 percent were born in Burma.

The vast majority, 94 percent, had never been arrested before. Only 16 perecnt reported to have ever consumed narcotics themselves.

To eliminate the drugs activitis required PEACE in the area where poppy is growned. Have to replace other crops to cultivate in the area is essential.

China put Wa group inside Burma,the group growing poppy and Law Sit Han, a drug lord father of Steven Law (alias)
Tun Myint Naing owner of Asia World Company in Burma was established drug business in Koo-kang area, northern Shan Sate at the time of Ne Win era in Burma was the worse period, because Law Sit han is friend of Ne Win.Now is the time to rid off poppy incorordination with PEACE plan with KIO.
