Htun Aung Gyaw, a former Burmese student leader, also denied reports he was involved in the party.
Aung Linn Htut told VOA that he believed Kyaw Myint wanted to play a significant role in politics in the 2010 election and perhaps gain an amnesty from the Burmese military government.

How does Canada allow such scum like Kyaw Myint to gain political asylum? On the same token, why does Aung Linn Htut deserve any special consideration from the US? Especially when he served under Khin Nyunt who was well-known for his dreaded MIS. They both have blood on their hands from past dealings with that pariah dog, Than Shwe. I feel the US and Canadian governments should boot them out or charge them for their past involvement in human rights violations in Burma.
George Than Setkyar Heine is spot on with his views and sentiments. Good on you, George. I wish more people would start getting involved and voicing their sentiments against the low-down inhuman pariah dogs of the military junta in Burma.

Now, that's "as clear as an elephant walking in a field," as Burmese folks of yore said.
Why was Kyaw Myint given a place in Canada, in the first place? Maybe, Canada is a haven for guys like Kyaw Myint playing a double game, with only their self-interests in mind while the rest of the people are watching with their arms folded across their chests, like now.
Aung Linn Htut is a former intelligence officer of Than Shwe's and his statement should be regarded as no less than the truth as regards Kyaw Myint and his ilk, hoodwinking the government and the people of Canada and the world at large.
Or maybe, his money goes a long way in Canada. He has a lot of money to throw around as a former member of the UWSA, worldwide known drug producers and traffickers.
Today, he is on the run from Than Shwe's regime. In that light, how come he is heading a political party in Burma and aiming for a political background in Than Shwe's territory? The Canadian government should be held responsible if it fails to look into Kyaw Myint's case and take action.
