Record Rains Hit Burma

May 11, 2007—Several areas of Burma were hard hit by flooding after torrential rains struck the country last weekend. The former capital Rangoon was among the country’s hardest-hit areas, with at least 7 reported dead. The following video clips, obtained by The Irrawaddy, were taken by Rangoon residents during the catastrophic rains and are now said to be on sale throughout the city.
