‘Three Nations’ Art on Show in Chiang Mai

Artists from three very different backgrounds, including Burma, are showing their work in a one-month exhibition at the Suvannabhumi art gallery in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. They include The Irrawaddy’s widely praised cartoonist and illustrator, Harn Lay, a graduate of Rangoon’s State School of Fine Art who now lives and works in Thailand. Thai artist Narongyot Tongyoo and South African Jacques Retief are the other two exhibiting painters. The work of the three artists is on show in the “Three Nations” exhibition until April 27.
